Our first contract was hauling freight for the Hudson’s Bay Company Store in Fort Chimo, which was later changed back to its original Inuit name of Kuujjuaq (large river). The following year we brought up some used pick up trucks to start our rental division.
1991 - we became a member of United Van Lines Canada.
1994 - we moved into the Kuujjuaq Airport and opened our Inuit Art Gallery.
1996 - we started our expediting and logistical division with providing these services to Noranda Mines and Kennecott Exploration.
Over the years we have established ourselves as a leader in specialty services for the Nunavik (Arctic Québec) region of Canada’s North with professional, prompt and qualified staff. There are presently 5 divisions within the Company.
Tivi Inc. is majority owned by Dave’s children and is listed as an Inuit owned business by Inuit Tapirit Kanatami and Aboriginal Affairs Canada.
